North Sydney Boys High School is a prestigious, academically selective, public high school for boys, located in Crows Nest, Sydney.
Engaged by the NSW Department of Education to provide Project Management Services for $1.2 million dollars worth of upgrade works to the school, the project aimed to resolve shortages of adequate dedicated school sporting facilities, and replace the worn out grass playing fields.
Funding was crowd-sourced and donation funded by parents of the students, and development of new outdoor tennis courts, basketball and futsal courts was completed and opened to students at the end of 2017.
While early challenges threatened to drive project costs 30% over the original budget, SJA - in consultation with specialist consultants - were ultimately able to provide a cost effective solution with minimal impact on the overall budget.
