The SJA Project Management division was appointed by Australia's largest training and education provider, TAFE NSW, to undertake Project Management of the $6.5 million refurbishment of exisiting buildings at the western Sydney campus, allowing for the consolidation of training delivery from five sites to one.
Recognised throughout Australia for its state-of-the-art facilities, this revitalisation cemented the Engineering, Transport and Manufacturing Faculty as a centre of excellence.
Refurbishment involved the creation of a new open-plan engineering workshop, in addition to the reconfiguration of rooms and amenities.
External areas were also modified, to allow for better use of space and the linking of buildings to provide wet weather access.
Nursing/Aged Care spaces were relocated and the original areas were renovated to provide new teacher accommodation.
Concept design, detailed design and tender and construction management through to completion, handover and relocation services were provided.
