The former ES&A Chartered Bank at 135 George Street, The Rocks, is a building of outstanding historical and aesthetic significance, with ties to the 1850's Gold Rush and associations with the maritime labour movement.
SJA were appointed by Place Management NSW (formerly Sydney Harbour Foreshore Authority) to provide Project Management services, from initiation through to project completion, of the base build construction works. This included restoration to the façade, restoration and repair to stone work and brickwork, and internal conservation works consisting of the preservation of heritage significant items.
