SJA were seconded by Lendlease to support them in their role as the Managing Contractor for major capital works at the University of Sydney.
Projects covered the full spectrum of faculty precincts with an approximate $160M investment into the university’s ageing infrastructure.
SJA mainly oversaw works in the health and sciences precincts, commencing with the Anderson Stuart Building; second oldest building on campus and part of the school of medicine.
Works consisted of several fit out and refurbishment projects within this building with a project budget of $6M.
In the brain and mind centre, multiple fitout and refurbishment projects were also undertaken to provide specialist research and teaching facilities at an estimated project value of $4M.
SJA provided project management services from briefing, concept design, detailed design, tender and construction through to completion, handover and relocation.
