The 333 George St project involved the demolition of an existing 14-level building and the construction of a 15-level A-Grade office, three levels of premium retail, rooftop terraces and basement parking. SJA became involved in the project at practical completion stage and was commissioned by Watpac to lead and drive the head contract variation effort to evaluate, write-up, submit and negotiate approximately fifty outstanding head contract variations on the project.
SJA was instrumental in providing stand-alone support to the existing commercial team and evaluating key variations on the project. In doing so, SJA assisted Watpac realise its revenue and margin expectations and negotiate a favorable variation outcome with its client during final account discussions.
