SJA was commissioned by QIC to produce a detailed construction program for the proposed redevelopment of their asset 62 Mary Street in Brisbane CBD. The detailed program was derived from concept design stage drawings, discussions with QIC’s project managers and site inspections of the existing building and would confirm an overall duration for the construction phase of the projects and be used as a benchmark for comparison to tender respondents program submittals.
SJA labour resourced the construction program, to give QIC and the project managers an indication of the peak labour requirement and when this would occur. To underpin the program, the overall and elemental durations were benchmarked against similar projects using as-built information from SJA’s extensive record archive. SJA calculated a required delay contingency to be included in the program, based upon historical weather statistics for the area.
