The Campbell’s Cove Redevelopment at The Rocks was a significant project of public domain improvements to support the creation of a waterfront promenade of international standard that would improve interaction with the State Heritage listed Campbell’s Stores and provide an improved tourist venue adjacent to the Circular Quay Overseas Passenger Terminal.
The redevelopment was part of Place Management’s $73M upgrade budget to enhance heritage assets along the Sydney Harbour foreshore and is the most significant upgrade of the Cove since the Bicentennial in 1988.
The works included improvements to the Promenade, the Waterfront, the Plaza area and the East – West connections to Hickson Road either end of Campbell’s Stores project.
SJA’s role included the planning and design to support the state significant development application, stakeholder management, consultant procurement and management and preparation of documentation for construction.
