SJA provided Design Management, Project Management and Contract Superintendency Services for the Rydges Refurbishment project.
Since its formal opening in November 2012, the Bacchus Restaurant and Bar and the new Function spaces have quickly placed themselves in the fore-front of Brisbane’s social and function venues.
The standard of finishes achieved has been embraced by the public and the new facilities reinforce Rydges as the landmark hotel in the Southbank tourist precinct.
SJA worked with the hotel owners and operators to manage the challenges inherent in expanding facilities in a building with aging services infrastructure and were able to resolve the issues which presented themselves right up until the opening night. SJA also assisted in the coordination of the Principal supplied FF&E with the contractor to ensure the timely delivery of the furniture and fittings, their compliance with the relevant Australian Standards and their incorporation into the works. SJA worked with the contractor, Built, to achieve the quality demanded and the timely delivery of the project which has been embraced by all.
