Sydney Metro Northwest is the largest public transport project in Australia and has transformed the public transport system in Sydney. The project comprises fifteen kilometres of twin tunnels, four kilometres of above-ground track on an elevated viaduct, four kilometres of at grade track and rail stabling yard, rail systems and tunnel auxiliary services, eight new stations, rapid transit rail facility, an operational control centre and twenty-two, six car single deck trains.
